Editor’s Note: These Lil’ Richie photo-funnies star a self-caricature sketched by Foreman in one of his hundreds of notebooks. Lampert discovered the doodle while digging through the Richard Foreman and Kate Manheim Papers at The Fales Library & Special Collections at New York University. Lifted off the page, our forever pal Lil’ Richie can now freely roam the ontological-hysteric avenues of slumberland. Lampert is organizing a Foreman film festival, starting on May 21, 2025 at Anthology Film Archives.
