Will Epstein
Will Epstein is a composer, improvisor, and songwriter born in New York City. He has performed internationally, released records of songs and composed music for film, installation, and dance performance. In addition to recently completing scores for the Martha Graham Dance Company and the documentary Nam June Paik: Moon Is The Oldest TV, Epstien has worked on major pieces for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Joyce Theater, and Jacob's Pillow, and collaborated with renowned artists and institutions such as MoMA, Marilyn Minter, and Nicolás Jaar. His albums Whims and Wendy were released by Fat Possum Records in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
Nathaniel Dorsky and Jerome Hiler are returning to New York. Partners in life and cinema for nearly sixty years, this month, MoMA and Anthology Film Archives will present a panoply of screenings of their experimental, personal, and mostly silent films—spanning from their earliest endeavors of the 1960s when they were immersed in New York’s cross cultural artistic bloom, to more recent poetic transmissions from their perch in San Francisco.
