Yapci Ramos

Yapci Ramos  is an artist from Tenerife, working between the Canary Islands, Barcelona, and New York. Her work explores identity, body, and territory through installation, performance, and image. She has participated in residencies including The Watermill Center, Fountainhead, and Art Omi, and has exhibited internationally across Europe, the Americas, and Africa.

This was the song we danced to when I lived in Asher’s home, and I, because of a mistranslation, would say "a door" instead of "adored." We would burst out laughing at the idea of wanting to be a door.
