Savannah Knoop

Savannah Knoop is a New York City based artist and filmmaker. From 1999 to 2005, they performed the public role of fictional author JT Leroy. Alongside Brontez Purnell, Knoop is working to adapt his novel, Since I Laid My Burden Down, into a feature length film.

When you walk into the hallway of the show Real Objects (the most exciting thing that happened since before I was born!), you immediately encounter a sinuous abstract sculpture.
