Richard Serra

RICHARD SERRA is an American artist based in New York.
I’m not a theoretician and I’m not a historian and I’ve never spoken about someone who was dead before.
We met in Venice in 1966 on a boat going to the Biennale. He wrote his number on a brown paper bag and said, “Look me up when you get to New York.”
