Dean Rader
Dean Rader has authored or co-authored thirteen books. His collection of poems, Before the Borderless: Dialogues with the Art of Cy Twombly, was named by Book Riot as one of ten “mesmerizing” books of modern poetry. He is a professor at the University of San Francisco and a 2019 Guggenheim fellow in poetry.
A lovely collaboration between artist and writer, these poems and images recast the everyday as the curious.
These two catalogues, one tucked into the other, reveal Tacita Dean’s night spent with the painter’s works. Ultimately, with its interplay of text and image, the book-within-a-book functions much like a Twombly painting.
