Bhion Achimba
Bhion Achimba grew up in rural Southeastern Nigeria and came to the US as Harvard University Scholar-at-Risk Fellow. They earned an MFA from Brown University and is currently the Vice Presidential Doctoral Fellow in the English Department at the University of Utah. Bhion’s work has been published or forthcoming in the New York Times, the Atlantic, the Paris Review, Poetry, Guernica Magazine, Poetry etc. He was awarded the 2023 Ruth Lily & Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg fellowship from The Poetry Foundation and the Center for Book Arts Chapbook Prize for the poetry pamphlet Cantos from the Crossing.
