Betty Cuningham

Betty Cuningham has been a prominent art dealer in New York for over fifty years. She is the founder of Betty Cuningham Gallery, which has exhibited the work of artists such as Rackstraw Downes, Philip Pearlstein, William Bailey, and Graham Nickson, whom she represented for many years.

The last time I saw Graham was in early November of 2024. He had been in and out of the hospital, and I had no idea how he would be or what to expect. I was so pleased to find him dressed for a visit, sitting up on the couch in his living room, surrounded by some of his own work hanging on the brilliant blue walls.
