Annissa Malvoisin

Dr Annissa Malvoisin is Associate Curator of African Art at the Brooklyn Museum and Affiliated Faculty at the Bard Graduate Center. Her scholarship investigates inter- and transcultural interactions surrounding the Nile Valley by studying the intersectional biographies of objects. Her work delves into contemporary issues of migration, identity, and diaspora through an archaeological lens that bridges deep time with the conditions of today.

A triangulation of Whitten’s approaches mirrors the ongoing discourse that encourages radical curatorial practice by shattering disciplinary lines. His ever-changing artistry does this undoubtedly.
