Judah Rubin is, among other things, the editor of A Perfect Vacuum and a doctoral candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center. His translation of Rodrigo Quijano's Una Procesión Entera Va Por Dentro is forthcoming from Wendy's Subway. This excerpt is part of the longer project Time Ripens on the Counter: A Hemispheric Literary History, 1971-1994.
