Amy Omar
Amy Omar is a Turkish-American writer and filmmaker based in New York City. Amy is particularly interested in narratives around Middle Eastern / Muslim characters and themes of cultural isolation, superstitions, religion, and feminism. Her non-narrative writing has appeared in Screen Slate, Electric Literature and Medium. Her short film, Breaking Fast with a Coca-Cola premiered at SXSW in 2023.
