David Campany is a curator, writer, educator and Creative Director of the International Center of Photography (ICP), New York. His recent curatorial projects include Latitudes: Nuits Balnéaires and Francois-Xavier Gbré (ICP 2026), Eugène Atget: the Making of a Reputation (ICP 2026), and Jeff Wall - Photographs (Galerie d'Italia, Turin, 2025). He is the author of over thirty books, including Indeterminacy; thoughts on time, the image and race(ism) co-written with Stanley Wolukau-Wanambwa (MACK 2022), On Photographs (MIT Press 2020), Photography and Cinema (Reaktion 2008) and Art and Photography (Phaidon 2003).

Aaron Stern is a Manhattan-based curator, artist and author working between the Americas and Europe. His photographs, books, writing and curatorial projects have appeared in publications and institutions such as RoseGallery, Webber Gallery, Magenta Plains, Dashwood Books, Perrotin, International Center for Photography, Paris Photo,The Paris Review, Vogue, The New York Times, Dazed&Confused, and Interview Magazine. 

Makeda Best

Dr. Makeda Best is the Deputy Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Oakland Museum of California. Formerly a curator and head of the Division of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Harvard Art Museums, her exhibitions included Time is Now: Photography and Social Change in James Baldwin’s America and Devour the Land: War and American Landscape Photography Since 1970. Her exhibition, American Job: 1940-2011, is on view at the International Center for Photography. She is a co-founder and current board member of Museums Moving Forward. She holds an MFA from CalArts and PhD from Harvard University.
