Susan Dackerman

Susan Dackerman is a Lecturer in Art History at UCLA, with a specialization in western print culture. She has held posts at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Harvard Art Museums, Getty Research Institute, and Stanford University. Her publications include Jasper Johns: A Catalogue Raisonné of the Monotypes, with Jennifer Roberts, 2017, and Dürer’s Knots: Early European Print and the Islamic East, 2024, among others. Dackerman is working on two book projects: a textbook on global print histories that positions Gutenberg’s introduction of printing into Europe at the end of the historical trajectory; and a book titled The Extinction of Print: a natural history, which looks at the history of print through the materiality of its matrices, and their relationship to conceptions of the natural world.

    Suzanne Felsen

    Suzanne Felsen is co-owner and co-director of Gemini G.E.L., overseeing all aspects of the fine art publishing business including artist relations and the print workshops.  Born and raised in Los Angeles, Suzanne is daughter of Gemini co-founder Sidney Felsen and has been involved with Gemini her entire life.  Suzanne is also owner and designer of Suzanne Felsen Jewelry.

      Ayn Grinstein

      Ayn Grinstein is a co-owner and co-director of Gemini G.E.L., where she oversees the sales department and key aspects of the fine art publishing business. The daughter of Elyse and Stanley Grinstein, the original co-founders of Gemini G.E.L., she has been involved with the company since its early years. For 40 years, Ayn has built a reputation as an independent art advisor, founding Grinstein Donenfeld Contemporary. After her father’s passing in 2014, Ayn also assumed her current leadership role at Gemini. She has served on the boards of the Santa Monica Museum of Art and the Art Dealers Association of California and is currently a member of the Advisory Council for the Arts at Cedars-Sinai.

        Ellen Grinstein

        Ellen Grinstein is co-owner and co-managing partner of Gemini G.E. L.  As the daughter of Elyse and Stanley Grinstein, co-founders of Gemini G.E.L., Ellen was raised in the world of contemporary art and has been part of Gemini from its inception.  For 40 years, Ellen and her sister Ayn were independent art advisors who worked closely with Gemini.  After the passing of her father in 2014, Ellen stepped into her current roles at Gemini. Currently, Ellen is also the Chair of the Advisory Council for the Arts at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

          Joni Moisant Weyl

          Joni Moisant Weyl is co-owner and co-director of Gemini G.E.L., and, along with her partners, oversees Gemini’s printmaking and publishing endeavors.  After graduating from Stanford University with an art history degree, Joni began her career in the arts with Gemini in 1977 and served as the Director of Sales for Gemini in Los Angeles for 7 years, then moved to New York and established her gallery which continues to represent Gemini’s editions in the tri-state area. She was married to Gemini co-founder’s, Sidney Felsen, for 36 years.  Joni currently sits on the board of the International Fine Prints & Drawings Association.

            Jessica Holmes

            Jessica Holmes, a co-editor of the Artseen section for the Brooklyn Rail, has also contributed to its pages for over a decade. Her writing has also featured in BOMB, Hyperallergic, The New York Observer, Vanity Fair Spain, among many others, and has been included in over two dozen exhibition catalogues and monographs. Previously, Jessica worked for the Calder Foundation for nearly two decades, including six years as its Deputy Director.
