Alex Strada is a New York City-based artist and educator working across installation, still and moving image, sound, performance, and public practice. Through research-driven, collaborative projects, she reimagines systems of power and creates platforms for collectivity and civic transformation. Since 2022, she has served as Public Artist in Residence with NYC’s Department of Homeless Services and Department of Cultural Affairs. Recent solo exhibitions and commissions include the Storefront for Art and Architecture, Queens Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Project Row Houses, and Times Square Arts. She is currently the Fine Arts Civic Engagement Fellow at the Pratt Institute.
