Enrique Martínez Celaya

Enrique Martínez Celaya is an artist, author, and former scientist whose work spans painting, sculpture, installation, fiction, philosophy, and poetry. His notable projects include The Phillips Collection, Washington, D.C.; the State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg; the Berliner Philharmonie, Berlin; and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana. His work is in the collections of over sixty leading international museums, and he has authored nine books on art, philosophy, and poetry. He is the first Provost Professor of Humanities and Arts in the history of the University of Southern California and studied art and physics at Cornell University, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Barbara. He is represented by Gallery Wendi Norris in San Francisco, where The Wilderness is currently on view.
Jessica Holmes

Jessica Holmes, a co-editor of the Artseen section for the Brooklyn Rail, has also contributed to its pages for over a decade. Her writing has also featured in BOMB, Hyperallergic, The New York Observer, Vanity Fair Spain, among many others, and has been included in over two dozen exhibition catalogues and monographs. Previously, Jessica worked for the Calder Foundation for nearly two decades, including six years as its Deputy Director.
