An American poet and poetry activist, Bob Holman is equal parts spoken word performer, professor, impresario, activist, founder and proprietor of the Bowery Poetry Club, filmmaker and host of Language Matters (2015 Documentary of the Year, Berkeley Film Festival), and beyond. “Talking Pictures,” is a film of Bob Holman’s ekphrastic poems based on the paintings of Elizabeth Murray, music by David Lang and Suzanne Vega, it’s Directed by Kristi Zea who also directed the American Masters documentary “Everybody Knows Elizabeth Murray.” Both streaming from Kino Lorber.
