January 10–February 28, 2024
to touch with a yielding touch the live wire of color
there is the tooth’s love of fat and
there is the lip’s love of fat
pulled taught as by a drawn bow
and i am the arrow
there are cavernous words for knowing
who says gray says
how much depends on
division and bleeding
who says gray says
slate rooftops under slate clouds
on an elemental blue beyond outline
purer than the puritan
and bleeding
because it is free
