LitFilm: A BPL Film Festival About Writers Returns May 3

The Spring Edition of LitFilm is Here! LitFilm—BPL’s Film Festival About Writers returns in 2021—with a spring preview in May (5/3 – 5/8) and a full roster in September (9/20 – 9/26).

BPL LitFilm Festival 2021

Our preview features films on the most influential, iconic and iconoclastic literary minds jostling for their places in the ever-shifting canon: Audre Lorde, Amy Tan, Ernest Hemingway and Lawrence Ferlinghetti. This fall’s lineup will include N. Scott Momaday, Hannah Arendt, J.D. Salinger and August Wilson, among others.

The week-long virtual festival will feature an exclusive pre-screening introduction of Hemingway by co-director, Lynn Novick, Second Read panel discussions on Ernest Hemingway and Audre Lorde, and more.
