Flann O'Brien (Myles na Gopaleen)

FLANN O'BRIEN is the pseudonym of Brian O'Nolan (1911?1966), a legendary figure amongst Irish writers and the author of the many stories, plays and novels, including The Third Policeman and At Swim-Two-Birds. A collection of his short fiction, from which this story is excerpted, will be published by Dalkey Archive on August 15.
