MEG KAIZU is a writer and painter. Her poetry and fiction have appeared in anthologies and journals including The Otter and Sensitive Skin. She studied painting at University of Oregon and the Art Students League of New York.
Sand Fortress
By Meg KaizuSoviet-era buildings destroyed by Russian bombs and the war dead whisper in my ears, as I walk alone. Snow falls on the city, enclosing us, as if to conceal the sorrow, brutality and cruelty of the world.
