Raphael Montañez Ortiz is an internationally renowned Brooklyn-born Puerto Rican artist and educator who grew up in New York City. He is the founder of El Museo del Barrio, where his current retrospective demonstrating his contributions to sculpture, performance, film, video, and activism is on view.
