Suggestion for an Audiovisual Device

This is a device that transforms the human body into a total recording and projecting machine. This is a device that, to put it better, transforms every cell on the surface of the human body into a recording and projecting apparatus and thus makes the human body a thoroughly sentient camera/screen. This is a device that is installed in the body through a topical cream not dissimilar to those regularly used to moisturize the skin. This is a device that, when applied to a small area of the skin, encourages the growth and expansion of pigment-containing and light-reflecting cells that can realistically record and instantly project onto themselves any and all surroundings. This is a device that, much like cuttlefish and chameleons, uses these cells to allow the user to blend in seamlessly with an environment. This is a device that is of great use when attempting absolute and inconspicuous immersion in an unknown setting or among unfamiliar beings. This is a device that allows the user to trap and store experience in its purest form. This is a device that requires no audience except oneself.

This is a device that induces (to assure optimal performance) the growth of several pieces of hardware inside the user’s body. This is a device that necessitates (because of the technical complexity of the device) the replacement of the user’s organs to make room for the hardware.

This is a device that (to quell fears of living without organs) uses organ-simulating technology to create pieces of hardware, which are indistinguishable from real organs.

This is a device that causes the user’s body to be in a constant state of revolt (needed to assure a speedy refresh rate of reality) evidenced in most cases by nausea, spontaneous urination, and sudden emptying of the bowels.

This is a device that is fully autonomous (the user is released from the decision making process, becomes free to concern himself with other matters while the device assumes control of the body, decides what to record and what to project and by its own volition attributes to its choices sense and meaning).
