The Tree Kings

I sell trees. I’m not only a seller of trees. In the past five years I’ve been a carpenter and a plumber and a house painter. I can be a handyman and a dishwasher and a short-order cook. Now I sell trees. It’s now what I do.

He pushed his shovel into the sand, and edged it out—full. He emptied the load into the sandbox—a six-by-six foot hole that his father had dug and bordered with wood, and filled with sand purchased from Home Depot.
